NEMS Summer Fundraiser for Foodbank

A summer tea party hosted by New Essex Masorti Shul in aid of the Epping Forest Foodbank was held at NEMS members, Cathy and Shimon’s home. During the afternoon, a cheque for £1,050 was presented to Epping Forest Foodbank director Jacob Forman by NEMS treasurer Ruth Rotryng. This was the amount raised by NEMS Yom Kippur appeal.  NEMS members were also very generous in donating food items and toiletries on the day of the afternoon tea event as well as in response to the original appeal. Epping Forest Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust.
